MAY I PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHA VOTE?

CHA UPDATE: I was not voted into the nomination committee, but wanted to thank everyone for their votes and support! I'll try again next year ((((grins))). BeckyC

I am seeking a seat on the Craft and Hobby ASSN (CHA) Nominating Committee.
There are 22 members nominated and only 5 seats.

Our most important duty will be to vote for sitting members of the CHA Board at the summer show. I am a Designer, and an instructor of papercrafts and mixed media art. Designing and Teaching have become my small business. I would like to see representation on the CHA Board for the small business, for the artist and Designer and this is why I seek the position.

A perfectly balanced committee might look something like this:
1. big business
2. small business or Scrapbooking
3. stamp co/retailer
4. designer/teacher (ME!)
5. publication/marketing

If you are a voting member of CHA, Please cast your vote today!

Card Contest $50 Winner!!

This is just so very funny and goes to show you, take the time to submit!! I almost didn't even have time to make holiday cards and I threw this simple design together with a week to spare. I made a ton of them using hand made papers that I had done long ago, some were made recently with Ranger color washes and then I used scrap papers in strips to make a 12 x 4" that I cut into triangles for the trees. A brass star, a bow and some Krylon spray webbing, a little bit of glitter and viola!! a gorgeous 2nd place winning card!

In my spare time surfing the web I came across the Green Sneakers site that was having a holiday card contest, I quickly created a matching envelope and loaded it, not giving it another thought until Barbara Eastwick emailed me tonight to tell me I WON 2ND PRIZE! The first prize winner was AMAZING.
check out their blog for all winners and there is a link to the gallery so you can see all the entires.
